Can projects be duplicated?

No, projects can not be duplicated. To create a new project from an existing project, use Project Templates

Can data be referenced between projects?

No, you cannot create a connection between projects but you can use Project Templates to create new projects from existing ones.

Is there a limit to the number of projects I can have?

No, there is no restriction to the number of projects you can create. You can create as many as you’d like.

Should I create one project or many projects for my data?

• All the data you need to be connected should be kept in a single project regardless of the number of buildings or locations. You can organize your project with Categories and Fields to distinguish different buildings, floors or types of products, so there is no limit to the amount of data you can store in a project.
• Examples of single projects:
  • Designing multiple buildings on a site at the same time
  • Surveying a campus of buildings
  • Creating a spec library of manufacturers, contact information and products
  • Room data sheets for a single or multiple buildings
• Similar to the way architectural projects are organized by project number, you can use the same organization for your Layer projects. In some cases it will make sense to have one building be an individual project, but in other cases you may be working with many buildings on a campus as one project.
